Minimum Viable Product. The smallest functional version that lets you learn. "Ugly but alive."
MVP (Minimum Viable Product) is the smallest working version of a product released to learn. The foundational concept in Eric Ries's Lean Startup methodology: learn the most with the least code. It's one of the most misunderstood ideas: MVP is not "a bad product," it's "a product just big enough to test the hypothesis." A good MVP knows exactly which question it's trying to answer and ruthlessly cuts everything outside that question.
